Phuket’s luxury Nai Harn resort welcomes the holiday season with an appealing array of gourmet delights, health programmes, pampering spa sessions and muay thai boxing class.

The beneficial choices extend from fresh coconut water during the bountiful breakfast buffet to a full personalised holistic health programme designed by a qualified purification specialist, nutritionist and herbalist. The wealth of options available make it easy for guests to stick to good health habits, or even to discover new approaches to living well during their stay.
“Wellness travel was a key trend in 2017 and its popularity continues to grow as healthconscious travellers seek to weave more healthy activities into their vacation time,” says Frank Grassmann, general manager of The Nai Harn.
“When we launched the Puriti personal health program with Deborah Williamson earlier this year it received such a positive response that we have decided to extend it while also adding more healthy options for guests to enjoy at the hotel.”
Nutritionist and herbalist Deborah Williamson’s programme involves a tailormade, plantbased diet, supported by a structured exercise regime and wellness schedule, including activities such as meditation and yoga.
Ideal for each individual, the programme begins with a complimentary health consultation and private counselling session to identify root causes of any illnesses or weight problems. Participants then follow a tailored one, three, or sixday retreat that sets them on a path to healthconscious living.
“Through our Puriti Programs people learn the right way to enhance their body, mind and spirit to improve health and promote your overall wellbeing. Participants are totally immersed in a new way of living and thinking and propelled into a positive spiral of wellbeing,” Williamson explains.
For healthy offerings, executive chef Mark Jones has created a special Rejuvenation Menu designed to nourish the body using recipes packed with important nutrients and natural flavour. All the healthy dishes on the special menu are free of any animal products, suitable for vegans.
Guest can also join the Healthy Cooking Classes and learn how to prepare some of delectable dishes such as quinoa and bean sprout salad with assorted baked nuts, a rocket and watermelon salad, and a pumpkin, cumin and coriander veloute topped with coconut cream and toasted pumpkin seeds.
“Most people want to eat healthy but struggle to find goto recipes that provide the nutrition they need while still being a delight to the taste buds. The Rejuvenation Menu offers creative dishes bursting with vitamins, minerals and nutrients, but most importantly, flavour. Enjoying healthy dishes doesn’t need to be dull or tasteless and the recipes we share with guests both in the restaurant and through our cooking classes prove the point,” Jones says.
During the day, the resort offers a number of invigorating activities, including muay thai and yoga classes led by professional instructors.
Guests can also relieve muscle tension with blissful treatments, ranging from the “Metamorphosis” package that features a 30minute rejuvenated body polish, a 60minute deep tissue massage and a 30minute facial massage for the release of builtup stress and muscle tension.
