The poll, conducted among 1,014 respondents from all over the country, found that the Democrat Party enjoyed a popularity rating of 29.2 per cent, ahead of the Pheu Thai Party at 25.8 per cent.
This marked an increase in popularity for the Democrat Party, which received a rating of 20.5 per cent in a poll taken in March. The Pheu Thai Party also enjoyed greater popularity since the March poll, which founds its rating was 18.5 per cent.
Responding to the roadmap leading to the general election, 61.1 per cent of respondents wanted to see national reform before the next general election, while 32 per cent said the promised election should be held no later than a year from now and 6.9 per cent said they were uncertain.
Over 46 per cent of respondents said they wanted to vote for both party-list and individual MP candidates, while 39.7 per cent said they wanted to stick to the same electoral system as before and more than 13 per cent were unsure.
When asked what was the most visible accomplishment of the Prayut Chan-o-cha administration, 63 per cent answered tackling corruption, 48 per cent answered healing divisions in society and 30.4 per cent answered tackling human rights violations and human trafficking.
