BMA tackles dengue hemorrhagic fever

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration yesterday kicked off a dengue hemorrhagic fever prevention campaign.

Deputy Governor Pusadee Tamthai said statistics showed there were 16,633 dengue fever patients in Bangkok from January 4 until November 14, with just one death.
Nationwide, 107,564 patients were reported – a ratio of 165 per 100,000 people – and 106 deaths, she added.
Pusadee warned the public to consult a doctor immediately if suffering a high fever for over two days.
