The Thai Bankers’ Association (TBA) Tuesday discussed with the Bank of Thailand (BOT) the possibility of postponing PromptPay, which is scheduled to be implemented on October 31, because of instabilities in the system.

Earlier, Predee Daochai, chairman of the TBA, told the media that the association would seek a discussion with the BOT on PromptPay to ensure that the implementation goes smoothly.
Under PromptPay, people transferring money will not need transferees’ bank details in order to conduct an electronic transaction.
