Princess awards degrees to university graduates

DESPITE MOURNING the passing of her father, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn yesterday conferred degrees on graduates of Chulalongkorn University (CU) as scheduled.
HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the much-revered monarch, passed away at the age of 89 on October 13.
CU president Bundhit Eua-arporn urged all fresh graduates to remember the moment, be grateful and embrace a righteous path to repay the gracious contribution from the King.
“You are the graduates in the reign of King Rama IX,” Bundhit said.
At the conferral ceremony yesterday, the princess instructed the graduates to use their knowledge in the right way.
