A relative of a 17-year-old Myanmar housemaid who was killed by a gunshot wound at her employer’s house has raised doubts about the employer’s role in her death.

“Our employer is hot-tempered,” Lukwa Papiao said on Monday.
Her younger sister, Namwan Papiao, was found dead in August at the home of her employer, who remains unnamed, in Ratchaburi province.
The death took place just one day after Lukwa left the house reportedly because she could not tolerate her employer’s temper.
Initially, local police suggested that Namwan might have committed suicide.
Lukwa voiced her suspicion about the employer’s role as she and her mother were invited to the Institute of Forensic Science to listen to the results of an autopsy of Namwan’s body on Monday.

Ronnarong Kaewpetch, who heads the Network of Campaigning for Justice, accompanied the two Myanmar nationals.
“It’s clear now that the bullet pierced her skull through the left temple,” he said.
However, it would take about two more weeks to establish the exact cause of her death, he added.
Namwan’s mother, Pala, said she did not believe the claim that her daughter had taken her own life.
The family of Namwan has been pleading with authorities for a transparent investigation into the case.
Namwan, according to her family, had never used a gun before.
