Over 2,000 tourists a day visit Doi Inthanon

The number of tourists visiting the Doi Inthanon mountaintop in Chiang Mai has risen above 2,000 a day, the park chief said on Saturday.

Rung Hiranwong, chief of the Doi Inthanon National Park, said that 2,740 people visited the park on Friday.
He said the number of tourists would keep rising until the New Year holidays.
Saturday morning saw the temperature on the mountaintop drop to 9 degrees Celsius, and to 16 degrees at the park office, he added.
