The shooting occurred in the morning of December 21. No one in the house was harmed.
As the suspects fled the scene, their car hit a motorcycle, injuring the driver. The car’s license plate fell off from the impact.
Deputy Metropolitan Police Commissioner Pol Maj-General Sompong Chingduang announced at a press conference on Monday that Panupong Kayor and Nattaphum Soponwasu were in police detention for their alleged role in the incident.
“We arrested Panupong on Friday night and nabbed Nattaphum soon after,” Sompong said.
Released from prison two years ago after completing a drug-related jail term, Panupong said he bought a gun from the Internet and used it to fire on the house.
“We happened to drive past the house and remembered the fight we used to have with a resident there. So, we decided to go back to my place to get a gun to shoot up the house,” Panupong is reported to have said.
The jobless 22-year-old man said that his group members separately fled following the shooting.
Police have vow to apprehend the remaining three suspects, Weeranat Tassaneeyaporn, 25, Pakawat Saosap, 20, and Chaitawat Noochnuan, 21.
The court has approved arrest warrants for all five suspects on charges of unauthorised possession of a gun and ammunition, carrying them into a village without a licence, opening fire on a public way and attempted murder.
