Thunderstorms, isolated heavy rain, gusty winds forecast for parts of the country
Hot to very hot weather continues in upper Thailand, with the possibility of summer storms, together with thunderstorms, gusty winds, hail in some areas and lightning. Isolated heavy rains are also possible, the Thai Meteorological Department said on Sunday.
A moderate high-pressure system covers upper Thailand, and the westerly trough covers the North of Thailand. Meanwhile, the southerly and southeasterly winds bring moisture from the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand to the lower North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East regions.
In the South, the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, the westerly wind blows in with thundershowers.

Bangkok and its vicinity: Hot day with haze; isolated thunderstorms and gusty winds; minimum temperature 24-26 degrees Celsius, maximum 34-37°C; southerly winds 10-25 km/hr.
North: Scattered thunderstorms with isolated heavy rain, hail and gusty winds; minimum temperature 21-26°C, maximum 31-37°C; southwesterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Northeast: Scattered thunderstorms; isolated heavy rain and hail, with gusty winds in many places; minimum temperature 23-25°C, maximum 32-34°C; southeasterly winds 10-25 km/hr.
Central: Hot day with haze; scattered thunderstorms, with isolated gusty winds and hail; minimum temperature 23-25°C, maximum 33-35°C; southerly winds 10-25 km/hr.
East: Scattered thunderstorms; isolated heavy rain, hail and gusty winds; minimum temperature 24-26°C, maximum 29-33°C; southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr; waves about a metre high and 1-2 metres in thundershowers.
South (east coast):
Isolated thundershowers; minimum temperature 24-26°C, maximum 33-36°C; southwesterly winds 10-30 km/hr.; waves less than a metre high and 1-2 metres in thundershowers.#
Soth (west coast)
isolated thundershowers; minimum temperature 23-26°C, maximum 32-34°C; southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr; waves 1-2 metres high and about two metres in thundershowers.
