Daw Aung San Suu Kyi: NLD's refusal to attend hluttaws just technical problem

The refusal of the representatives-elect of the National League for Democracy to attend the Hluttaw should be seen as a technical one rather than a political issue, Chairperson Daw Aung San Suu Kyi was quoted as saying on 26 April.
Speaking during a news conference after meeting with the Italian foreign minister, she said that she would like to consider the barrier for representatives-elect to go to the Hluttaw as a technical issue, and it should not be exaggerated into a political issue. She added that her party would continue to cooperate with the government as it believed the reform of the president was sincere. She praised the president as a person who really wanted to see the progress of the country, saying that her party would cooperate with the president for democratization process.
