MAS to launch A380 service to Heathrow

Malaysia Airlines has set another record with the launch of its Airbus A380 scheduled service between Kuala Lumpur and Heathrow.
In an elaborate launch at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, attended by Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, the super jumbo flight MH2 was given a rousing send-off minutes before midnight.
MAS is now the eighth operator of the super jumbo and will be the second carrier to operate such an aircraft when it becomes a full member of the one world alliance by the end of the year. Muhyiddin said the aircraft would contribute to the efforts of increasing the number of tourist arrivals.
