Trade between Vietnam and Cambodia exceeded US$1.9 billion (Bt60 billion) in the first seven months of this year, the High Quality Vietnamese Goods Business Association said yesterday.
Speaking at a news conference, an association official said Vietnamese exports to Cambodia amounted to $1.6 billion in the seven months to July. Imports from Cambodia to Vietnam totalled $329 million in the same period.
In 2011, Vietnamese exports to Cambodia amounted to $2.8 billion while imports from Cambodia were more than $400 million, the official said.
The news conference coincided with Thursday’s opening of a five-day trade fair promoting high-quality Vietnamese goods and the association’s 10th anniversary in Cambodia.
