Police told to treat the media well

A statement from the Nay Pyi Taw Police Force said police stations across the country had been told to maintain a good relationship with media.

The statement highlighted the need for lower level officers to treat journalists in accordance with the correct rules and procedures. Reporters have often complained that police officers do not respond or treat the media badly when they are contacted over a story.
