Railways to run special charter trains for tourists

Myanmar Railways is going to run special charter trains to cater to the increasing numbers of tourists.

The Ministry of Hotels and Tourism announced in a statement that more than one million tourists visited Myanmar as of May 6. It expects about three million tourists to visit by the end of this year.
“The tourists want to visit the entire nation. For example, they go to Bagan via Kyaukpadaung. They  enjoy sights and take photos along the road. If they  desire to go on a one-day trip, we will start charter express train services for their convenience,” said an official from the rail ministry.
