Malaysian minister seeking Ukraine help over MH17 crash

Malaysian Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein is going to Ukraine to discuss the safe passage of another Malaysian team to scour the crash site of Flight MH17.

He said although a ceasefire had been signed it was still very fragile.
“Whether a ceasefire can grant safe passage and whether other countries like the Netherlands and Australia can join the team is what I have to discuss,” he said after opening the Lembah Pantai Umno meeting on Sunday.
He said Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar and Attorney-General Abdul Gani Patail are in Holland to monitor the developments closely.
“After Ukraine, I hope to be in Moscow two days later before ending up in Amsterdam to meet the committee that is seeking justice for MH17.”
