“All businesses must compete in line with the law, which aims to ban all types of monopoly. The law is necessary to further promote the country’s development,” Saw Hla Tun said.
The bill is expected to be discussed on September 11, two days after it was submitted by the Commerce Ministry.
The Upper House recently approved the bill, leaving it to be screened by the Lower House’s bill committee, the Lower House’s legal affairs and special cases review commission, a government law coordination committee, and the Commerce Ministry.
It is among about 30 bills to be vetted during the Lower House’s 11th parliamentary session.
