The MIAA on Monday again alerted passengers that have flights arriving on those two dates that there will be no flights arriving at all Naia terminals from 2pm to 7pm on January 15 and 6am to 10.30am on January 19.
MIAA general manager Jose Angel Honrado said the decision to block flight arrivals on these two dates was made after consultations with different airlines. Earlier, the papal visit organising committee had announced that major thoroughfares would also be closed around the airport terminals during the Pope’s arrival and departure.
Honrado said airline operators should revise their flight schedules or come up with other options for passengers who have booked flights during those two days.
