Metro Ethernet users using most expansive data plan

About 80 per cent of metro internet users are using MET Grade F plan, the most expansive data plan in Metro Ethernet services, according to sources from Yatan

A sales and services centre of YTP was opened in Kabaraye Pagoda Road on April 3, providing services for ADSL and Metro Ethernet.
The highest upstream data amount is half of the highest downstream data amount. The downstream rate is varied between 20 Mbps and 50 Mbps depending on the transfer rates, said Ohnmar Khin, deputy general manager of YTP.
The YTP has fixed the data plan as per followed: 1 MB (silver plan) for US$550 per month, 2 MB (gold plan) for $850 per month, 4 MB (titanium plan) for $1,350 per month, 8 MB (diamond plan) for $2,500 per month, 10 MB (emerald plan) for $3,000 per month, 16 MB (MET Grade A plan) for $4,800 per month, 20 MB (MET Grade B plan) for $5,500 per month, 24 MB (MET Grade C plan) for $6,500 per month, 30 MB (MET Grade D plan) for $8,000 per month, 40 MB (MET Grade E plan) for $10,560 per month and 50 MB (MET Grade F plan) for $13,000 per month.
The Metro Ethernet line is the most expansive services in Myanmar and only big companies are using it. It is only available in Yangon, Mandalay and Pyin Oo Lwin.
At present, over 700 customers are using the line.
The YTP said they will introduce fast speed internet lines using advanced technologies soon.
The YTP is building infrastructures all over Yangon and it will cover the whole town within two or three months.
