Carlsberg appoints distributors
Myanmar Carlsberg Co Ltd has appointed Mandalay Kudos Co Ltd and Lucky Two Elephant as the distributors of its products in the major cities of Mandalay and Monywa.
The partnership was signed at the Mandalay Hill Resort Hotel with the intention of expanding Carlsberg’s brewery expertise and distribution in the Myanmar market. With these partnerships, Myanmar Carlsberg’s premium beer brand Tuborg and Yoma, which is tailored for Myanmar consumers, and coming soon, the flagship brand Carlsberg will be available for the first time for retail in these cities.
Myanmar Carlsberg’s Executive Director U Thant Zin Tun, said about the new partnership; “We are proud to work with Mandalay Kudos and Lucky Two Elephant to expand our distribution to Mandalay, and in Monywa. I’m also personally excited and feel this is a very important day for us in Myanmar since we are now able to partner with Carlsberg and bring our local communities probably the best beer in the world. This is a new era where we can unite with an international expert brewer to nurture Myanmar talent, while creating future business and job opportunities for both Carlsberg and the local economies.”
In May 2015, Myanmar Carlsberg inaugurated its state-of-the-art facility in Bago and has been selling in Myanmar since then, adding Myanmar to their long-standing worldwide, network of brewing expertise and world-famous products sold in more than 150 markets.
