For example, Microsoft Sharepoint, Skype for Business and Office Pro Plus will alleviate a lot of current mundane and manual processes at the organisational level and will help maximise efficiency.”
The group's investment is expected to enable it to compete more effectively in a very dynamic marketplace.
Not revealing the investment sum, Microsoft aid that the enterprise agreement with KBZ Group of Companies is its largest IT deal in Myanmar to date. Microsoft has established its presence in Myanmar since 2013.
The deal reflects the rapid development and potential of Myanmar’s financial services industry, which is set to see more embark on the course of digital transformation.
“This agreement with KBZ Group is testament to the focus Microsoft has had in the growing demand in emerging markets for enterprise grade, world class technology that people and organisations can trust. Myanmar’s banking industry is on the fast track to modernisation,” said Bertrand Launay, Vice President, Microsoft Asia Pacific. “We look forward to growing our presence in Myanmar to enable its organisations, the IT ecosystem and its people to do more, connect and transact digitally as the country takes on a rapid path towards growth.”
