Singers, film actors and writers attended the event to urge the public to check the voter lists and correct any errors they find.
Vocalist Phyu Phyu Kyaw Thein said: “If more than one per cent is wrong, the election cannot be considered democratic. Now, up to 70 per cent of the information on the voter lists is wrong. This is very worrying.”
The singer continued: “I want the public to be aware that September 27 is the last day to check the voter lists. Each ballot represents the power of a citizen and the future of the country. I urge everyone to check the lists and not to lose the right to vote.”
