During a ceramah at Pantai Leka here, Pakatan chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad said Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia youth chief Syed Saddiq would be its candidate for the Muar parliamentary seat while Parti Amanah Negara deputy chairman Salahuddin Ayub would run for the Simpang Renggam parliamentary seat.
Johor Amanah Wanita chief Nor Hayati Bachok was selected to stand in the Maharani state seat while Amanah Ledang division chief Dr Faizul Amri Adnan would contest the Serum state seat.
However, the candidacy of Pribumi president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was not announced although there is talk of him defending his Pagoh parliamentary seat.
