Hot on the heels of news that a 16-year-old cast member of television’s “Hormones” (who we decline to name due to her age) was caught taking dope, another star of the show, 19-year-old Sananthachat “Fon” Thanapatpisal, was on Twitter trying to instil better morals in her own fans.
There were three tweets on the subject of drugs, none straightforward, though we suppose she meant well. “Trying drugs is not strange, but don’t be shocked. Please understand that [taking illicit drugs] is wrong and shouldn’t be done. Clear?”
Well, no, but next came her contention that drugs and teens are a bad pairing, and there’s nothing normal about a teenager experimenting with drugs. “If the majority is wrong, we don’t need to follow them.”
And finally: “I want to tell nong nong out there [the junior fans] that everyone knows what is good and what is not. No one will force us to do bad thing. We must rethink and rethink, because many things will be following us as we grow.”
Okay, then, but Fon had miscalculated the sympathy being extended to her 16-year-old co-star. She was deluged with criticism, and ended up deleting all her previous tweets and declaring that she hadn’t been talking about anyone in particular, just sharing food for thought.
By then, however, still other members of the cast had demarcated the difference in response to the dope scandal. Peach Pachara tweeted, “Don’t step on someone who’s fallen down.” Sedthawut “Tou” Anusit said that’s when you have to help a person get back up again.
And Chutavuth “March” Pattarakampol posted a screen shot from the series on Instagram, in which he’s seen comforting the younger actress. As a caption, he quoted his own line from the script: “This thing shall pass.” Countless fans have since repeated the same words to the actress.

Donut gets icing
Actors Manasnan “Donut” Panlertwongskul and Ananda Everingham haven’t “broken up”, she says. But now they’re just friends.
A significant distinction, certainly, but Donut was being soft and creamy inside after Ananda told reporters bluntly that they were no longer a couple.
Since that was the first Donut had heard of it, a lot of people are wondering if this was a case of using the media to murder your relationship. Poor girl, first learning from the press that her man’s not that into her and, second, having a platoon of reporters descend on her for a reaction.
“Ananda said clearly that you two have broken up!” one scribe yelped. “Many people believe he wants to split, but that you don’t!” snarled another.
A fox up a tree surrounded by barking hounds, Donut was sweet – to a point. “We still have to work together, and we still talk to each other, even though it’s not the same. Yes, we do have problems, but I shouldn’t tell you everything – it will only open old wounds.”
