Facial feng shui: What to do about an unlucky forehead

I've been told I have an "unlucky" forehead. What does that mean in terms of facial feng shui, and how might I improve it?

In Chinese facial feng shui, your face is your fortune. It might not be a proven science, but there have been many scientific findings showing that facial features do play an important role in our lives. For example, an asymmetrical face is less attractive, and bright eyes can make you appear livelier. A person with a good appearance is more likely to make friends and be well liked.
One of the most important features of the face is the forehead. The eyes, cheeks and lips can look better with makeup, but there’s not much you can do with your forehead to make it look better. Yet the forehead is believed to bring luck. One that’s wide, slightly bulging, smooth and almost glistening with radiance indicates power.
Some people believe that a hair fringe or other hairstyles covering the face affect the ability to make decisions and attract wealth. They say you should keep your forehead exposed and healthy-looking – no frown-lines, blemishes or acne marks.
With all the concentrating and squinting we do over the years, frown-lines develop naturally. And the two vertical lines – the “11” lines – between your eyebrows can make you look like you’re frowning constantly even when you’re not. The horizontal lines caused by eyebrow movement can also make you look older.
Thankfully, frown-lines are one of the easiest problems to correct. Botulinum toxin relaxes overactive muscles and reduces wrinkles. However, since your forehead plays such an important role in your facial expressions, make sure you choose a reliable doctor who knows how the facial muscles work, Otherwise you might end up with that “frozen” look. An unnatural expression can be even less attractive than signs of ageing.
Thermage is also a good option for tightening the skin and encouraging collagen production to give your forehead a fuller look. The technology gently smoothes fine lines and wrinkles without surgery, so you can carry on with your normal routine with no time lost.
If your forehead is flat, consider using fillers to bulge it up and create more roundness. Again, care is needed – an unskilled doctor can leave you with a bumpy forehead.
The sides of the forehead should not be hollow. Correcting any hollowing at the temples can be done using fillers or treatments that stimulate the production of collagen.
All in all, to improve the contours of the forehead, consider your face as a whole. Just because the feng shui guidelines say it’s good doesn’t mean it will look good on you. It’s best to consult an experienced doctor to come up with a treatment plan that works for you.
