How, after all the information available on Donald Trump, there are still Trump supporters? This astonishes me and says a lot about the mindset of these people.
But I would like to comment on a letter by JC Wilcox, in which he complains of a lack of patriotism in the USA. A peculiar letter to say the least, as Wilcox makes assertions without giving any proof.
No freedom of expression? Evidently he doesn’t follow news channels like Fox spouting insults and other unbelievable rubbish unpunished. The principle of freedom of expression is a holy grail in the USA, anchored in the constitution and no one, literally no one, has the courage or the means to attack this principle.
His complaint about the rising deficit is gutter tactics, not mentioning a very good reason: Obama inherited the disastrous results of the financial crisis and by his policy of quantitative easing and Keynesian policies (remember the rescue of the automobile industry), he saved the American economy, avoiding a more painful, deep depression.
Within eight years thanks to his policies, the economy is growing and unemployment is below 5 per cent (which implies nearly full employment), the envy of all western countries. Median incomes have risen in the last two years by 5.3 per cent!
It is not exaggerating to mark Obama as the saviour of the American economy. Laughable is Wilcox’s statement the USA is impregnated by Marxism. Not only Trump proves the opposite, but Wilcox appears to confuse some socialist ideas in the USA with communism.
Insinuation without any evidence. According to Wilcox, there is a plethora of evidence incriminating Hillary Clinton. And the moon is made from cheese!
No other person has been investigated as much as Clinton. All investigations, including that of Benghazi, exonerated her from any criminal activity, with the most condemnatory statement accused her of carelessness, which is not nearly enough for a prosecution.
