On election day in January 2014, Phra Buddha Issara and his men disrupted some polling stations in Bangkok and consequently the results of the whole election were annulled. For that the monk faced an arrest warrant in February. But he shrugged and did not surrender until May 28, a week after the coup, believing he would receive more favourable treatment under the military rule, and he did. After nearly three years his case is still going nowhere and he still walks free.
Let’s give Phra Dhamma-chayo a fair shake and wait for an elected government. Then, hopefully, he will surrender.
