Carnivores also kill more plants and insects
This is in response to two recent letters arguing that plants, or the insects that get killed as a result of raising plants, feel pain, just like farm animals.
Since most plant feed is fed to livestock, NOT humans, meat-eaters are indirectly responsible for killing more plants and insects than are vegans.
So even if someone is really stupid enough to believe that a tomato – which has no nervous system – deserves the same moral consideration as a pig, which is more intelligent than a dog, that is still not a good reason to support the livestock industry, which is the No 1 destroyer of plants in the world.
I have more respect for Dr Frank, who is honest enough to admit he doesn’t give a damn about “stupid” animals, than I do for these intellectually challenged hypocrites who come up with these Mickey Mouse arguments to justify the barbaric atrocities committed against tens of billions of factory-farmed animals every year.
