SATURDAY, APRIL 27, 2024

The story of embattled Pol General Surachate Hakparn, the former deputy commissioner-general of the Royal Thai Police, and once a candidate to head the National Police, continues to grab media attention.

Surachate added another angle to the story by stepping forward to pursue justice for himself after being accused of involvement in an online gambling website.

The Thai police force has seen officers famous for their enormous wealth, and though Surachate personally may not make it to the list, the man nicknamed "Big Joke" must be included because of the near-billionaire status of his wife.

Let us look at the most wealthy police officers, ranging from those having net worth in hundreds of millions to billionaires, with businesses both within and outside the stock market. The data about these seven individuals has been put together after conducting research through the Thai stock market as of April 25, including information from Creden Data, a legal entity information provider.
