Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will take 69 tourism-related operators, mainly hoteliers, to join the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, to promote its service as a way to keep and expand its tourist base at the time of economic uncertainty in Europ

The event is held during November 4 and 7. This is the 34th year for TAT to join it. Thailand has acquired 420 square meters, building a concept  of Amazing Romantic Thailand, aimed at promoting the country as a honeymooning place, especially beaches such as Phuket and Samui.
Juthaporn Rerngronasa, TAT's deputy governor international marketing for Europe, Africa, Middle East & America, said before the event would start, the TAT would also lead operators to go to Scandinavia and Germany to meet with travel agencies there in order to update its service and tourism highlights.
Currently, tourists from Europe would be positive, even as economic uncertainty. This year, its tourist number was projected to reach 6 million, up from over 5 million in 2012.  The UK and Scandinavia have kept growing, but only one digit, while Russia showed the biggest growth with 30 per cent.
However, she believed the possibility of political demonstration turnout would not have any impact on the tourists’ sentiment to come here in the remaining months.
