More than 2,000 restaurants in 150 countries will be represented at “Gout de/Good France” in Bangkok on March 21, giving local gastronomes a chance to explore the world of international cuisine.

Organised by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and chef Alain Ducasse, the event borrows the idea of Auguste Escoffier, who launched the Diners d’epicure (Epicurean Dinners) initiative in 1912, featuring the exact same menu served in several cities on the same day.
The aim is to showcase the French lifestyle and regional products and more broadly to promote France as a tourist destination. A group of chefs will cook a feast to pay tribute to the excellence of French cuisine and its capacity to innovate and unite people around the common values of sharing and enjoyment in a planet-friendly and healthy way.
The amazing meals on offer will include an aperitif, finger food, one or two main courses, a cheese platter and a dessert, accompanied by French wines and champagnes. Several French chefs will swap restaurants with other foreign chefs for an evening in a spirit of sharing and conviviality.
Gout de/Good France benefits from an international promotional campaign enabling all participating chefs to showcase their cuisine and expertise with the active support of French embassies, Atout France and media partners France Medias Monde, TV5 Monde and JCDecaux.
