In the Saturday, May 11, 2012 edition, The Nation printed an article entitled 'Rights in ASEAN' which it stated was co-authored by Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs official Panote Preechyanud and Human Rights Watch Asia deputy director Phil Robertson.
This was an error, and The Nation sincerely apologizes to Phil Robertson and Human Rights Watch. We acknowledge that Phil Robertson did not write or make any contribution to the article which we printed, and recognize that article does not in any way reflect the views of Human Rights Watch towards the ASEAN Inter-governmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) or the ASEAN Human Rights Declaration (AHRD).
