Origin Property links with IHG on hotel projects
Origin Property Plc has joined forces with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) on a project to launch three hotels in Thonglor and Siracha, worth a total of Bt7.5 billion.
The projects are aimed at serving high demand from Japanese people and the demand stimulated by investment in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). It is also IHG’s first launch of the Staybridge Suites brand in the Asia-Pacific region. Origin has made a new joint venture with Japanese partner Nomura Real Estate Development on the Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor property, the company’s chief executive officer Peerapong Jaroon-ek said yesterday.
The three hotels are badged as Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor, Staybridge Suites Chonburi Siracha, and Holiday Inn Suites Siracha Laemchabang. All three hotels are scheduled to begin operations by 2021.
