Bangkok, Thailand – Organized by the International Trade Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the Taiwan Pavilion at PROPAK ASIA 2026 successfully demonstrated how Taiwanese smart machinery and integrated manufacturing solutions are helping manufacturers across Thailand and Southeast Asia enhance productivity, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate industrial upgrading.

Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun has set up a task force to respond after the USTR launched a Section 301 investigation into Thailand and 15 other economies over “structural excess capacity”, with submissions due by April 15 and a public hearing on May 5 in Washington.
