Program provides vital support for more than 45,000 startups

Microsoft Corporation is celebrating its third anniversary of Microsoft BizSpark program after it has expanded to help more than 45,000 startups in 100 countries. Here in Thailand, more than 200 startups have joined the program, including the successful milestone of Builk Asia Company which recently received APICTA Awards 2011.

Microsoft BizSpark program fits well with Microsoft’s historic strengths of providing well-supported software platforms and leveraging its global partner ecosystem to foster local innovation and economic growth by helping startups build their business with a strong foundation. Since its launch in November in 2008, the program has successfully helped startups with a wide variety of support at no cost including Microsoft software, business and technical support, market visibility as well as access to the rapidly growing BizSpark startup ecosystem.

Birathon Kasemsri Na Ayudhaya, Managing Director, Microsoft (Thailand) Limited, said “After three years, there are more than 200 startups joining the program that receive Microsoft software, business and technical support, market visibility which help accelerate their success. One of the successful startups is the internationally recognized Builk Asia which received APICTA Awards 2011. In an alignment with our vision ‘We Make 70 Million Lives Better’, Microsoft is going to continue this program and will work along with our partners, including Software Park and ATSI to foster sustainable development of the country’s IT industry.

Builk Asia has been a member of Microsoft BizSpark program since 2009. Builk Asia has become successful by providing software to many small construction companies and is widely know both in the country and Asia-Pacific region. Recently, it has unlocked another achievement by being honored with Asia Pacific ICT Awards 2011.
