BB Torch offers two-in-one facility

Torch 9810 has both touch-screen and slide-out full QWERTY keyboard so it answers both demands.

 

Its touch-screen makes it very convenient to navigate through the features and usage of the phone – much faster than using the trackpad as you can tap the command or function options right away. And the full QWERTY keyboard, which can hide under the screen, makes it very convenient to write e-mails, update Facebook status, type BlackBerry Messenger chat.

 

Its 3.2-inch screen is large enough for reading Facebook updates, Web pages and e-mails comfortably. The screen also has good resolution of 640 x 480 pixels, so it is good for watching YouTube clips and other multimedia files.

 

Torch 9810 showed very good performance during the test thanks to its 1.2GHz processor and the performance-enhanced BlackBerry 7 OS. The handset’s menus and touch-screen were very responsive and scrolling of various pages could be done very fast during the test. YouTube clips and recorded video clips played smoothly thanks to the fast CPU and powerful graphics processing, Liquid Graphics technology.

 

Torch 9810 comes with a 5 megapixel camera, which is good quality for a mobile phone. It can also record 720p HD video.

 

The handset has 8 gigabytes of onboard storage, which is expandable with a microSD card of up to 32GB. Its768 megabytes of active memory or RAM also contributes to its fast performance.

Torch 9810 has good-quality speakers, allowing you to share music with friends without the need of external speakers.

 

The handset can also function as a high-quality MP3 player, especially if you use your own premium headphones with its 3.5mm stereo jack.

And the new OS also extends the function of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) to a range of other apps, such as Foursquare. This allows you to easily interact with friends from within the “BBM connected” app.

 

Best of all, its updated Social Feeds (2.0) app has been extended to capture updates from media, podcasts, and favourites all in one consolidated view, using RSS feeds. And you can monitor feeds from your e-mails, Facebook and Twitter accounts in one place.

 

And the new Messages application of the new OS has also been enhanced to consolidate all types of messages, including SMS, BBM, Facebook chat and Twitter’s personal message in one place.

 

Torch 9810 also has augmented reality feature, which is enabled with the digital compass and accelerometer. It uses Wikitude World Browser, it provides an exciting new way to interact and socialise with the world around you.
