There were 9.7 million users across Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria featured in its market intelligence tool, OpenView, as of the end of February, said the firm, which offers its services in several regions including Southeast Asia.
This data revealed a steady week-on-week growth of 2.9 per cent, highlighting the promising development of Internet consumption in the emerging Levant economy, it said.
Brendon Ogilvy, Effective Measure’s vice president of digital insights, said the Levant was a force to be reckoned with, especially when looking at Jordan’s and Lebanon’s encouraging Internet consumption in February. The company considers the Levant’s digital growth as a good indicator of its overall progress and looks forward to bringing value and structure to those invested in it, he said.
Effective Measure collects up-to-date audience profiles from more than 40,000 active panellists in the Levant. Detailed data are sectioned into demographic, segmentation (psychographic) and location, with audience data on 40 site sub-categories and 140 individual tagged sites indexed against the Levant average.
In February, a 0.62-per-cent increase in unique browser count contributed to the 265.4 million webpages viewed in the Levant on mobile devices and personal computers.
More than 14.2 million pages were viewed on mobile, up 0.4 per cent from the previous month.
The 25-30-year age group led with 24.1-per-cent audience market share, with a majority of the entire population identified as early adopters.
Effective Measure provides online measurement data to premium publishers, platforms, agencies and advertisers. It says its products and services offer media planners invested in Oceania, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and South Africa a clear insight into the state of the Internet and the ever-growing digital population.
