American auto-manufacturer Chevrolet, in particular, will go a step further by broadcasting the launch event today live on the Internet.
The coverage, which will also feature live and on-the-spot interviews with attending media and visitors, will be from 10am to noon Thailand time (5-7pm GMT).
“We are expanding the reach of our product introductions beyond mainstream media, using the latest technologies to bring our messages to a global audience. As more and more people are connected, broadcasting the launch live via webcast will enable our fans and audiences a 360-degree view of the event, and of course, the Trailblazer, including behind the scenes shots,” said Antonio Zara, vice president, sales, market and after-sales, General Motors Thailand/Southeast Asia and Chevrolet Sales Thailand.
Viewers are encouraged to register in advance on www.chevrolet.co.th. A reminder will be sent to the mobile devices of registered viewers prior to the event.
The Trailblazer is the PPV (Pickup Passenger Vehicle) version of the Colorado pickup truck, and will compete head-on with the Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu Mu-7, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Ford Everest.
Meanwhile, Toyota, the world’s largest auto company, will also be introducing the minor-change version of the Prius hybrid today. The company previously launched the minor-change Yaris as well as the new Camry.
