Inspire Entertainment Co has spent Bt200 million on holding the "Bangkok Auto Salon 2012", a super-car show, in the hope of attracting more than half a million visitors.

The show, which will display modified cars and accessories for the first time in Thailand, will take place at Impact Muang Thong Thani from June 20 to July 1.
There will be more than 30 cars imported from Tokyo Auto Salon, including modified cars from Thailand, Asia and Europe.
Wiluck Lohtong, chief executive officer of Inspire Entertainment, said yesterday that preparations for the event are almost fully completed. In the first year, the company expects sales at the event to reach Bt5 billion and to increase by 20-30 per cent annually in later years.

Giant carmakers such as Honda, Mazda, Suzuki, Subaru, Porsche Taart, BMW AC Schnitzer, Yamaha and AP Honda will also join the show. In addition, large corporates like PTT and car accessories distributors such as TS Motorsport, SMT, VTEC Store, Tako Works, REV Spec, Luxury Auto Car, Maxxma, Dupro will take part.
Toyota 86, Mazda 787 B, Honda CRZ and Nissan Leaf racing cars will be the highlights of the event. However, the event will not be open for car order bookings, except for spares, car decorations and accessories. “We expect up to 7 million visitors to attend the event,” said Wiluck.
“The company has a policy to expand its automotive business in the country, considered a fast-growing sector,” he said.
Yoshiyuki Sunaga, deputy secretary-general of Tokyo Auto Salon Association (TASA), and also vice president of San’s Co, as a representative organiser of Tokyo Salon event, said it is the No 1 car show. This is the first time that the company has given an official copyright to Inspire Entertainment to organise the Auto Salon car show in Thailand.
Moreover, there will be other activities such as car racing, drift racing and basic drift training course apart from luxury car show.
