V. R. Srivatsan, Managing Director for Autodesk – ASEAN gave the keynote at the conference while Mr. Chatcharn Sutthipisal, country manager of Autodesk Thailand, presided over the event. The conference also included key technology speakers from Autodesk like Richard Blatcher, Sr. Global Industry Manager PLM/PDM, Autodesk Manufacturing based in California, USA present a session on the ‘Global Trends and Designs in Manufacturing’.
Speaking at the event, V. R. Srivatsan, Managing Director for Autodesk – ASEAN said that “Autodesk is a world leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software and believes that Thailand has strong potential in the manufacturing industry. Autodesk has a decade long presence in Thailand and is committed to support the design technology landscape in the ASEAN region, particularly in a priority market such as Thailand. By learning and exploring new innovative techniques and adopting the latest technology, Thailand can prepare themselves to be the leader in manufacturing industry in ASEAN Economic Community.” He further shared that, APAC is a very important region for Autodesk and in FY12 it was the company’s fastest growing region with 18% Year-on-Year revenue growth.
While Richard Blatcher in his discussion shared that, “Autodesk is transforming Product Lifecycle Management with an affordable, easy-to-deploy and use solution that makes the benefits of PLM available to anyone, anytime, anywhere.” He further showcased how digital prototyping with Autodesk software is helping companies gain reliable, timely insights previously unavailable through physical testing. He also explained how through cloud computing and mobile platforms, Autodesk is helping to make design more accessible and accelerate better design.
The conference was attended by 250+ senior industry professionals and experts from the manufacturing industry in Thailand. Autodesk also showcased their latest product releases, next-generation cloud-based PLM projects for manufacturing that are helping deliver improved integration for products and factory design and address current industry trends and overcome challenges. Autodesk is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and is a global company with annual revenue of $2.2 Billion Dollars in FY2012 and over 7500 employees around the world.
