dtac goes full throttle at the ICT Expo 2012 where it aims to educate the public about 3G networks and to display its 4G readiness to support Thailand in the regional competition when the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) emerges. Through its special display at the expo, dtac aims to communicate three things: 1) Customer Centricity – featuring a new customer service center 2) New Network – using an infographic to lucidly present information and 3) Interactive Motion – comparing the speed of 3G and 4G technologies. This special exhibition is being held at the IMPACT Arena Exhibition and Convention Center’s Challenger Hall III in Muang Thong Thani on August 3-6, 2012. dtac also has special surprises to unveil at its 168 sq.m. booth.
Pakorn Pannachet, Senior Vice President, Head of Product Division, Total Access Communication PLC. (dtac), said dtac is participating in the Bangkok International ICT Expo 2012 which is organized by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. Through this platform, dtac intends to show its ability as a leader in the telecommunication industry and how it can technologically support Thailand in preparing for the competition in the AEC market. Visitors will learn about 3G networks as well as 4G technology and signals from a lucidly presented infographic and interactive motion that will take them into the world of communication.
“Our dtac booth is divided into three sections. Section 1 displays the latest mobile devices and offers a glimpse at the new service center that employs the Customer Centricity approach. It involves focusing on the needs of today’s customers who use smart phones to surf the Internet. We also display some cool smart phones here. Most interestingly is the launch of music streaming service “DEEZER” for which dtac is the exclusive service provider in Thailand and the first in Asia. Visitors can test the service at the booth and download the program to their mobile phones for a free 15-day trial. DEEZER offers unbounded musical pleasure as the service can be used to search or share songs with friends worldwide from a list of over 18 million songs. It supports iOS, Android, BB and Website,” Pakorn said.
“Section 2 displays the New Network, using an infographic featuring cute cartoon characters to convey otherwise complex information about communication technology and tools such as 3G usage and services that customers need to know. Section 3 uses Interactive Motion to show comparison in the speed of 3G and 4G. dtac is now ready to provide 4G services. We have invested over 40 billion baht in upgrading the technology of our entire network that comprises more than 10,000 signal posts across Thailand. We are the first mobile phone service provider in Thailand that has done this and we use the best technology in the world to run the dtac Life Network.”
