WeChat 6.0 also sports an appealing improvement in the user-interface design to make it iOS 8 compatible, along with some minor bug fixes, WeChat announced in a press statement.
The Sight screen can be pulled down from the main WeChat screen and then a user can press and hold the video icon to record and release to send.
After a video is created, a user can select who he or she wants to send the clip to, or even post it to Moments.
While in the chat screen, a user can tap the “+” button and then select the Sight button to begin.
Sight videos are seemlessly integrated into users’ social communications experience and will automatically play while connected on 3G or WiFi.
WeChat users can capture and share videos by posting and sharing 6-second clips onto their Moments timeline.
In addition to the brand new Sight feature, WeChat 6.0 gives users several visual enhancements, including a new tab bar for iOS and full iOS 8 compatibility.
