Mitsubishi Xpander posts solid sales in Indonesia

The authorised distributor of Mitsubishi Motors vehicles in Indonesia, MMKSI, has announced the sales result obtained by its Next Generation MPV, Mitsubishi Xpander.
After the world premiere at Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show on August 10, Mitsubishi Xpander got more than 11,000 bookings nationwide in two weeks.
According to authorised distributor in Indonesia, sales of the Xpander has exceeded the initial sales target of 3,000 to 4,000 units per month, and the new model has achieved the highest bookings record during an international exhibition event. 
Meanwhile, the “Ultimate A/T”, the top grade, is the top model that dominated sales at more than 50 per cent.
The Xpander is produced at Mitsubishi Motors’ new factory in Indonesia, Bekasi Prefecture, West Java province, with plans for start for an annual production of 80,000 units. A shipment to Asean and some other markets is planned to start from early 2018.
