Sails to the wind
Phuket Raceweek celebrates its tenth anniversary this month, with the Cape Panwa Hotel hosting Asia’s most exciting and fastest-growing regatta from July 17 to 21. Entries are rolling in for Raceweek. Of particular note is the growth in charter boats, with Sunsail reporting a number of bookings and many new crews from Australia, New Zealand and USA, to name just a few, confirming their attendance. Phuket Raceweek was voted “Best Asian Regatta of the Year” in the Asia Boating Awards 2011, which recognise the cream of Asia’s marine industry across 23 categories, from boat builders to marinas to regattas.
