Magic and mystery on the isle
Thailand’s Koh Tao has been voted the top island in Asia by TripAdvisor with voters singing the praises of its white sand beaches. The ranking comes despite Koh Tao being in the press over the past year for all the wrong reasons. In September, a British couple was found murdered on one of the island’s many beaches. In January, another British man was found dead on the beach. In a separate incident on the same day, authorities found a Frenchman who had apparently committed suicide by hanging, despite his hands being bound behind his back. - DPA
