“Read & Learn” is part of Governor Chadchart Sittipunt’s policy to host a festival in Bangkok every month throughout the year. The aim is to boost local economies, promote creativity in communities and bring attractions to Bangkokians as well as Thai and foreign tourists.

“The city designs each festival to promote unique characteristics of each neighbourhood by telling its story and boosting its economic potential,” said Sanon. “We also hope that the festivals will attract tourists to these neighbourhoods even after the events end.”

Held throughout March, the “Read & Learn Festival” will overlap with the National Book Fair and the Bangkok International Book Fair, held from March 30 to April 9 at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre.
