Public-private network attracts more members

Thai Life Assurance Association, which houses 25 life insuarance companies, becomes another institutional member of the Anti-Corruption Network.

The pact was signed on Wednesday, to demonstrate its recognition to widespread corruption in Thailand.
"This requires cooperation between the public and private sectors as well as international organisations in formulating transparent business ethics," said the association's president Sara Lamsam.
Under the pact, all life insurance companies would say "no" to all types of corruption practices to eradicate the problem from Thailand. This will strengthen the economic stability and under transparent and accountable business practices, life insurance companies should be able to establish trust among the insured, the general public as well as the global community.
Under the guidance of the National Anti-Corruption Commission, the Anti-Corruption Network has won strong supports from big and small private companies. The network, initiated by late Charnchai Charuvatr and Dusit Nontanakorn, was kicked off in 2010.
