He said the company had been contributing to schools and libraries for more than 10 years because after the economic crisis in 1997, it came to believe that if it supported education, it could help people attain a higher quality of life. As a result, the company shares the benefits it gains from new residential projects to support the nearby communities by focusing on needy provincial schools.
For example, as the company launches a project in Surat Thani this year, it will allocate part of its budget to renovate the library at Surat Thani Vitaya School.
Last year, when the company invested in Udon Thani province, it rebuilt a school and donated books and scholarships.
“Our business policy is to provide benefits to society by focusing on three categories: education, religion, and family,” Atip said.
In the first category, Supalai funds renovations or construction of schools or libraries in needy areas around its residential projects. It also open its meeting rooms at its head office on Rama III Road in Bangkok for educational activities such as seminars free of charge.
Meanwhile, the company supports its customers’ visits to temples and has religious activities about three or four times a year.
It also holds family activities for its customers such as holiday trips to its hotel in Saraburi province, Pasak Resort.
“Most of our corporate social responsibility activities serve community demand and also create a sustainable society in the long term,” he said.
