Kitti Techataveekijkul, deputy managing director, said the company planned to provide cloud services to support its enterprise customers and new business areas. It is negotiating with a business partner to provide the new service. It has also set up a digital media centre for business clients as a demonstration and training base.
“Each year, we will invest about Bt30 million in IT and infrastructure to support our new business in the next three or four years,” Kitti said.
He said the company planned this year to distribute its products and services in three main areas: enterprise systems, solutions integration and office supplies.
Through its enterprise systems group, it will offer hardware systems, storage, servers, desktop and notebook computers, and point-of-sales coverage for small and medium businesses and the enterprise market.
The solutions integration group will cover security, networking and data centres as well as IT services. Metro Systems believes that this group will create opportunities for businesses to utilise IT to expand their bases and improve productivity and competitiveness.
Last, the office supplies group will provide toner, ink, computer media, printers and scanners comprising more than 2,000 stock-keeping units.
Kitti said the company last year generated revenue of about Bt6 billion and expected to expand that by 7-8 per cent this year.
