The company is placing greater emphasis on the domestic and Asean markets, with plans for a Bt1.5-billion investment in a new factory and its first Ligman Innovation Centre in Thailand to cash in on the regional economic integration, which is due to take effect within two years.
The lighting company reported revenue of more than Bt900 million last year, mainly from key markets including the United States and numerous European and Asian countries.
The company’s executive director, Oratai Manawongsakul, said that over past 17 years, overseas export markets had presented the greatest business opportunities. The company has worked closely with leading property developers to design and install outdoor lighting systems for a number of projects in more than 60 countries in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, North America, Latin America, Europe and Africa.
Last year, the company enjoyed 7-per-cent growth to more than Bt900 million in revenue, mainly driven by a number of mega-projects from both the government and private sectors across the globe.
“Having received a good response, the company built factories and showrooms in each market, becoming Thailand’s first provider of outdoor lighting solutions to have its own showrooms in the US, the United Arab Emirates and India. We have 13 overseas branches in the UK, France, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere,” Oratai added.
The company is also constructing a new factory and Ligman Innovation Centre in Amphoe Muang, Chachoengsao province.
