Pepsi-Cola (Thai) Trading Co Ltd, a local arm of PepsiCo Inc, is aggressively tapping into Thailand’s Bt10billion-valued extruded snacks segment1 by launching “Lay’s Play”, new potato-based snacks featuring fun shapes and a variety of flavours that provide great value to consumers. 

This launch is aimed to capitalise on the continuous expansion of the extruded snacks segment where growth has reached 8.3 per cent during the past seven months. Extruded snacks are among the top 3 segments that have achieved the highest growth rates and were higher than the industry average, said Nitin Bhandari, marketing director for foods of Pepsi-Cola (Thai) Trading Company Limited.
